IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT TESTING SERVICES FOR STEEL AND MATERIAL TESTING FOR THE TRANSPORT INDUSTRY

Tasks and activities to be implemented in the project:

The task includes the purchase, installation, and commissioning of equipment and software necessary for the implementation of innovative material testing services and accompanying processes. As part of the task, the following will be implemented:

1. hydrogen embrittlement testing service compliant with ASTM F519, including analytical software and dedicated grips,
2. comprehensive material testing for the transport industry, carried out in an integrated cycle (microstructure + hardness mapping + reporting).

Additionally, the project will involve the purchase of external services and activities implementing marketing innovation, supporting the commercialization and scaling of the new service portfolio.

Target groups:

The target groups of this project are: residents of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, research organizations and institutes, and enterprises, including SMEs, benefiting directly or indirectly from the project’s results. The solution developed as part of the research process and subsequently implemented in the project is directed directly to the recipients of the Applicant’s products, including agricultural enterprises from the Lubelskie Voivodeship. The implementation of the project will have a positive impact on the region’s economy and competitiveness.

Project objective or objectives:

The project concerns the development of the Applicant’s activity in the area of advanced material testing services through the implementation and launch of innovative technology for providing research services.

Main stages of implementation:

1. installation and commissioning of technology – delivery, assembly, and startup of apparatus/software, validation of procedures, and internal training;
2. organizational and analytical implementation – launching an integrated data circuit and standardization of reporting and supervision;
3. commercialization and promotion – launching marketing activities for the aviation, hydrogen, and transport markets.

Project effects and results:

The result will be a new, competitive offer of research services with higher throughput, shorter lead times, and greater reliability of results, enabling service for clients from all over Poland.

Amount of European Funds contribution – 702 633,12 PLN
